Ministers Crevits and Demir give a boost to Circular Flanders

Circular Flanders, the partnership of governments, companies, civil society and the knowledge community that is aiming at realising the transitioning to the circular economy, has been given a new boost. Together with Mr. Paul De Bruycker, CEO of Indaver and the newly appointed president of Circular Flanders, the Flemish Minister of environment, Mrs. Zuhal Demir and the Flemish Minister of Economy and Innovation, Mrs. Hilde Crevits, are shifting the focus from experimentation to scale-up and making the standard out of prior best practices. The fact that both the Ministers Demir and Crevits are driving this initiative shows that the transition to the circular economy is not only an ecological necessity but also presents an economical opportunity, not in the least in terms of innovation and employment.
