According to the former Waste Act, this is waste from companies or public facilities that is particularly hazardous to health, air or water due to its type, nature or quantity, is explosive or flammable, or contains or can cause infectious diseases. In the current Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act, such waste is categorised as hazardous waste.

Does Indaver Germany always fulfil all the limit values of the Federal Immission Control Ordinance?

Yes, the continuous emission measurements show that the required limits are all far below. In some cases, they are 10% of the legally stipulated limit value.

Is Indaver Germany a certified company?

Yes, all of Indaver Deutschland's treatment plants are certified as specialised waste management companies. In addition, the company has a certified environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, which is applied at the company's various sites.

What is DIN EN ISO 14001?

This international standard is a collection of rules for the organisation of environmentally relevant processes. Many companies around the world already work according to this standard. The rules are used to plan and control all activities that may have an impact on the environment.

How long are the certifications valid for?

Each certification to an ISO standard is valid for three years and is reviewed annually between certifications.
