Junior IT security officer

What will your working day look like?

As IT Security Officer, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining Indaver's Information Security Management System. You will be the link between our external security partner(s) and all involved internal departments. You oversee the implementation of security measures by which Indaver protects its digital data and sensitive information. You ensure that our digital security measures are aligned with local legislation and regulations and with our governance policies. When IT security incidents occur, as our Incident Manager you coordinate the measures and ensure they are followed up. You promote cybersecurity awareness among all employees.

What will be your biggest challenge?

Indaver is active and present in the main countries of Europe, with our IT department providing support at all sites. Your biggest challenge will be to cooperate with external security expert(s) in order to implement policies  and procedures  based on international frameworks and ISO standards like CIS controls and ISO 27001  You will work closely with other departments and external parties. Beside the implementation of policies you will also follow them up and initiate controls. Strong communication skills will therefore be necessary here so that you can make things happen at all levels. You are also committed on staying up-to-date in new technologies and security trends and like to follow courses on this  topic.

How will you make a difference?

• You have a master's degree in business or IT
• You have a first experience in a high demanding business environment not necessarily IT security
• You have good knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
• You want to expand your knowledge in the field of IT security.

Where will you be working?

Indaver is an international waste treatment and management company committed to a sustainable circular future. It extracts new raw materials and energy from waste streams. Hazardous components are destroyed in order to keep the materials cycle safe.

You will be based in Singelberg (Kallo), at Indaver’s head office, but will regularly travel to one of the other locations at home and abroad. You will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager
