In Stuttgart - in the centre of Baden-Württemberg's largest conurbation - there is an efficient chemical-physical treatment plant in the harbour area. This plant was built in 1996 by SBW Sonderabfallentsorgung Baden-Württemberg GmbH and operated until the year 2000. The plant was then transferred to HIM GmbH and is now part of the Indaver Group network.
In the chemical-physical treatment plant, the delivered materials are treated after extensive testing. This is carried out in batches in closed reaction tanks by neutralisation, reduction, oxidation and/or precipitation.
The transshipment facility serves as an interim storage facility, from where the waste is forwarded to one of our treatment plants after appropriate pre-treatment or transferred to a suitable co-operation partner.
